J. Krishnamurti
We are second-hand people. We have lived on what we have been told, either guided by our inclinations, our tendencies, or compelled to accept by circumstances and environment. We are the result of all kinds of influences, and there is nothing new in us, nothing that we have discovered for ourselves: nothing original, pristine, clear.J. Krishnamurti
Jiddu Krishnamurti (11 May 1895 – 17 February 1986) was an Indian philosopher, speaker and writer. He was raised in the Theosophical tradition during his early life and groomed to fill the advanced spiritual role known as the World Teacher. By 1929, he had rejected this mantle and distanced himself from the related movement.
He spent the rest of his life travelling the world speaking to large and small groups, as well as individuals. He emphasized topics such as choiceless awareness, psychological inquiry, and freedom from religious, spiritual and cultural authority.
